Optima has been commissioned by the Dutch Good Growth Fund in the Netherlands in March 2018 to develop training material in cooperation with Triple Jump.
Triple Jump is an organisation based in the Netherlands that supports the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) in developing training material and building the capacity of new and aspiring small cap, mezzanine fund managers and their investment officers in Africa as well as other emerging markets.
Optima will develop the training material in cooperation with Triple Jump to be DGGF branded. A pilot training session will be facilitated in the Netherlands for Investment and Fund Managers nominated by Triple Jump. On completion of the workshop, Optima will tweak the content and develop the training material to be Triple Jump and DGGF Fund Manager specific.
Optima will assess the process with Triple Jump and provide upscale recommendations. The workshops run over a period of 3 to 6 months with 3 days classroom training, a practical implementation period, and a mentoring programme of 5 months.
During last week off June 2018, training was facilitated in Amsterdam, to 10 investment managers from 9 different funds in, Philippines, Georgia, Cameroon, Benin, Ghana, Uganda, Netherlands, Egypt and Kenia. The facilitation was seen as a great success, by the observers of Triple Jump and the new material will be developed around the content of the three-day facilitation.
The mentoring process to the 10 delegates will start in August for 4 months. The new material will be implemented and the process of delivering the new material to new and existing funds, will start in 2019.
