Over three days delegates explore Mediclinic’s financial management system and practices, become familiar with financial terms and review and improve the control over financial resources in their departments.
An existing Optima programme was customised for Mediclinic, and all the terminology, examples, case studies, numbers, ratios, screen shots, etc. were made Mediclinic-real.
Optima facilitates all the modules which include:
- Financial management
- Budgeting
- Income items
- Expenditure items
- Variance reporting
- Understanding financials (gaining basic insight into an income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements and cash flow planning)
- Stock management
- Customer credit
On the final day participants work on a Mediclinic-real case study in small groups. The programme was piloted in 2016 and full implementation started in May 2017.
